Department of Internal Medicine Propaedeutics

    Department history begins sins August 1957. Department of propaedeutics of internal diseases was organized on the base of therapeutic department of Ternopil City Hospital (today it is the Ternopil city municipal hospital ambulance). The first head of department (from the base by January 1966.) was associated professor and later professor Michael G. Masik, a student of the Kyiv School Strazhesko academic physicians.


    The department started work at the therapeutic department (60 beds) of a hospital. The staff of that time consisted of five employees: the head, 3 assistants and a laboratory assistant. The assistant of the Department was M.G. Semenova, candidate of medical science, the former student of acad. EM Tareyev, as well as experienced practitioners Yu. Tsal and N.M. Vashkevych who later successfully defended their dissertations. Subsequently the first associated profesor of the Department became E.G. Barba, the follower of Odessa therapeutic school of acad. MA. Yanovsky. New admitted assistants were candidates of medical science M.G. Nesvyetov and O. Televiyak. Physician RK Odiychuk entered to clinical residency as the Department and after graduation worked as an assistant. The Department offers postgraduate degrees. The first graduate students were E.M. Starodub (now professor of the department of primary health care and general practice - family medicine) as well as AM Medved. Staff of the Department in the first decade increased twice, expanded its clinical base (till 110 beds). Prof. M.G. Masik published several works devoted to the diagnosis of heart defects. The laboratory department conducted research using electrophoretic apparatus, photoelectrocolorimeters, refractometers, capillaroscope that at the time was the latest word in laboratory diagnosis.
    This was the period of formation and the simultaneous rise of the department. The staff developed the problems of hematology and hepatology.
    Since 1966, head of Chair of Internal Medicine is Associate Professor and then Professor Vladimir Avetysovych Hryhor'yan, who led the department until 1985 and until 1990 worked as a professor of the same department.     From 1966 to 1985 the department was headed by prof. V.A. Hryhor'yan, who in 1971 defended his doctoral thesis "Some immunological and biochemical deviations of patients with rheumatism in combination with endemic goiter” In the same year received the title of Doctor of medical sciences E.G. Barba, who was a student of prof. O.N. Yanovsky and in her scientific work preferred immunohematologic research in hepatology.


    After graduation in residency and graduate school the following candidates of medical science worked as assistants at the department: E.S. Chornous, V.D. Pryshlyak, V.V. Loiko, V.S. Kushnir. From faculty therapy department came assistans M.A. Klantsa, but after some time he was promoted to associate professor and worked as a head teacher of the department. Candidate of medical sciences Vasilyuk came to thedepartment from Frunze town, Georgia. Candidate of medical sciences M.I. Bozhenka was invited to the department from practical medical medicine.

    In 1972 Department was completed with young, energetic, enterprising faculty: candidate of medical sciences M.M. Chubatyy, candidate of medical sciences P.I. Bay, candidate of medical sciences A.M. Hrechuh, candidate of medical sciences M.O. Lemke, candidate of medical sciences I.I. Melnyk. After completing residency training candidates of medical sciences Tu.P.Kuzmich and B.H Buhai started to work as assistants of the department. Combining work as a senior lasboratory assistant with study in graduate school part-time, N.V. Zhurbenko and V.O. Lyhatska defended their theses and started to work as assistants of the Department.

    Since 1975 A.V.Yepishyn started to work as assistant professor of the Department. In 1984 came from practical health care system to the Department and worked as an assistant SA Kuzmenko, candidate of medical science.
    Department staff studied the problems of rheumatism, coronary heart disease, atherosclerosis. The study are held upon the effect of anabolic steroids on electrolyte metabolism and blood coagulation system in hypertension and atherosclerosis. In coronary heart disease there were explored antycardial bodies and blood enzymes.
In pedagogical process the great importance was paid to the lectures. Lectures by prof. A.V. Hryhor'yan and Assoc. professor E.G. Barba attracted the attention of physicians of the city.
    In 1984 teaching of the course on therapeutic patients care was started at the Department. The organizer of this section was associated professor M.O. Lemke. Teaching in clinical residency and tnternership at the Department was started since 1972
    Under the leadership of V.A. Hryhor'yanwere prepared and defended candidate thesis of E.S.Chornous (1981), B.H.Buhai (1985), I.L. Busko (1975), N.O. Yepishyna (1978). Ass. professor Y.A. Tsal improved gastric tube for biopsy of the stomach and duodenum, reconstructed the trocar for abdominal puncture. Education work had being held as well, was interestingly working student group. Almost every year, students received prizes at the conferences, reported research results at other universities
    In the pedagogical process great importance was paid to lectures. The lecture course was big enough. Lectures were visited by young teachers and young doctors of city clinics.

Students scientific society

    From June 1985 to September 2003 as the head of the department was a doctor of medical sciences professor. AV Yepishyn, whose work as a talented scientist, educator and physician awarded the honorary title "Veteran of Labor", numerous certificates and election in 1995 a full member of the New York Academy of Sciences.
    With the advent of the chair professor. A.V. Yepishyn the immunological laboratory was organized, and single line of research was formed, which was aimed at developing immunopathology in various diseases. There were investigated immunological reactivity of patients with chronic inflammatory lesions of the hepatobiliary system for its immune correction. There were developed clinical and laboratory criteria for diagnosis and pathogenetic therapy of patients with chronic inflammatory diseases of the hepatobiliary system using different groups of immunomodulators angioprotectors, ​​reparants, antihypoxants, antioxidants, hepatoprotectors and unconventional therapies.

    In the 1985-1986 there were issued guidelines for students with patients care (it was one of the first guidelines on this subject in the Ukraine) and Internal Medicine Propaedeutics in 4 parts. In 1989 there were issued "Guidelines for students to self-practical lessons on general care", in 1993 - "Guidelines for patients management and writing of case history", which were reprinted in 1998.
    With the advent of the chair professor. A.V.     Actively started to be involved in scientific work various graduate students, clinical residents, practitioners, senior laboratory assistants I.A. Svider, V.E. Grytsiv, I.M. Markiv, T.Y. Chernets, N.M. Ruda, N.Y. Vereshchahina, P.Y. Sherstiuk, A.O. Bob, N.I. Babyak, N.A. Bilkevych. Doctoral dissertations are performed by S.A. Kuzmenko, V.M. Vasylyuk, S.M. Andreychyn.
    Students of II-VI courses also were covered with scientific work. The results of their activity were published annually in the collections of student research papers of International Congress of Medical students and young scientists and were discussed at conferences where students get prizes.
    In parallel with the common direction of the research problems of endocrinology, gastroenterology, pulmonology are studied. In 1995 were issued: the manual "Laboratory diagnosis of immunological disorders in the clinics," newsletters "Immunomodulatory drugs in complex treatments of certain diseases," "Antioxidants in treatment of chronic diseases of the hepatobiliary system and acute pneumonia." The investigations of 25-30 scientific works were published in scientific papers annualy. Abstracts are published in the International Conference on Esperanto, as well as in France. 54 research proposals to improve the treatment, diagnosis of hepatobiliary diseases, endocrine and respiratory systems are introduced into the practice of health care institutions. The department received seven patents for invention, 30 innovations. Assoc. professor S.M. Andreychyn and Assoc.professor M.O. Lemke became an authors of "Handbook paramedic" under the general editorship of prof. M.A. Andreychyn (1997). In 1998 there were published "Guidelines for self preparation for practical training in Internal Medicine Propaedeutics (curation of patients and writing a case history)," and in 1999 - methodological recommendations for extracurricular students' independent work on II-III courses.
    Under the general editorship of Head of Department, professor A.V. Yepishyn it was published textbook "Propaedeutics of internal diseases with care of therapeutic patient" ("Ukrmedknyha", 2001), which was recommended by the Central methodical cabinet of high medical education, MHP of Ukraine as a textbook for students of higher educational institutions III-IV accreditation levels, and was marked with diploma at 8-Ukrainian conference of publishers. Simultaneously it was created educational CD-controlling program "Propaedeutics of internal diseases with care of therapeutic patients. Part 1. Diagnosis of internal diseases".
    Main scientific achievements of the department: during this period it was investigated the state of immunological reactivity of patients with chronic diseases of hepatobiliary system, developed clinical and laboratory criteria of diagnosis and pathogenetic therapy using different groups of imunomodulators. It was investigated the influence of mineral water of Zbruch deposit in the course of diabetes mellitus and diseases of hepatobiliary system, developed the criteria of differential approach to the treatment of peptic ulcer, acute pneumonia, chronic bronchitis. It was studied clinical and imunologic changes in patients with pathology of thyroid gland in the eddemic area. During this period, 10 Ph.D. and 3 doctoral dissertation were defended.

    Employees of the department consulted annually in the clinicsi about 2,500 patients, conducted scientific and practical, patalohoanatomical conferences, they were the members of Ukrainian therapeutic endocrinologic societies. Participated in activity of city department of health protection. In practical medicine it was introduced more than 100 new methods of treatment and diagnostics developed at the department.
For training of precinct therapists of city hospitals "University precinct therapist" was organized by initiative of prof. AV Yepishyn which functioned during 4 years.
    Employees of the Department provided advice to all employees of Ternopil garment factory and refrigerated carload depot (3500 people) on the base of scientific research performed in these organisations.
Guides were popular among city hospitals stuff: "Guide to the classification of internal diseases" and "Diagnosis and treatment of emergency conditions in the clinic of internal medicine."


    Since September 2003 the department manages Doctor of medical science, professor. S.M. Andreychyn.
    Department staff are constantly working to improve teaching work. In particular, there are issued "Methodical advice to students on Supervision of patients and writing of academic history" in Ukrainian and English. Methodic recommendations for students from all disciplines are constantly improved.
    The directions of scientific research are gastroenterology and cardiology. Other important areas – research devoted to the treatment and diagnosis of secondary pulmonary emphysema, diabetes mellitus.
    Department staff is working on a research work on "The role of chronic diseases of pancreatoduodenal zone in development of osteopathy and the program of its treatment and prevention,". Within this rogram the issues are held on prevalence, diagnosis and treatment of secondary osteoporosis in clinics of internal medicine.

    Employees of the Department take part in scientific and practical conferences. Prof. S.M.Andreychyn passed training in gastroenterology clinics of Medical University, Bratislava (Slovak Republic).
    Department staff annually advise the clinics about 2,500 patients, conduct research and practical clinical and pathological conferences, they there are members of the Ukrainian Society of Physicians, endocrinologists.
Professors and associate professors weekly exercise routine rounds in the clinics and lead the consultative reception. By department employees forces there are held regional association meetings and courses for physicians of Ternopil region.

Education: In 1986 graduated from the Ternopil State Medical Institute.

 Research: In 1989 he defended his thesis on "thermographic diagnostic criterion and treatment of different clinical forms of erysipelas." In 2003 defended his doctoral dissertation on "Clinical and pathogenetic substantiation of optimization of the treatment of chronic non-ulcer proctosigmoiditis." 2004 diploma Professor Chair of internal medicine and clinical pharmacology. From 2003 to the present head of the Chair of Internal Medicine and of tuberculosis. Under the guidance of prof. SM Andreychyn 4 PhD theses. Member of the Editorial Board of two medical journals, head of cyclic methodical commission on therapeutic disciplines.

Scientific interests: related therapeutic disciplines, pulmonology, rheumatology, internal medicine.

Publications: Author and co-author of over 285 scientific publications, 16 patents. Co-author of the textbook "Propaedeutics of internal diseases with therapeutic care of patients" and four books.

           Education: graduated from the Ternopil State Medical Institute in 1987. After the one-year internship working as a research assistant Chair of internal diseases by 1991.

Research: In 1991 he entered graduate school at the department of internal medicine Ternopil State Medical Institute. During clinical studies in graduate wrote his thesis on "The antioxidant and immune correction in the treatment of patients with acute pneumonia," which defended in 1994. Since 1994 Assistant Chair of Internal Medicine Ternopil State Medical Institute named after I. Gorbachevskogo but since 1996 senior lecturer of the department.

Scientific interests relate to therapeutic disciplines, pulmonology, rheumatology, internal medicine.

Publications: Author and co-author of over 128 scientific publications, 5 of innovative implementations. Co-author of the textbook "Propaedeutics of internal diseases with therapeutic care of patients" and manual "Methods of examination of therapeutic patient."

Education: In 1975 graduated from the Ternopil State Medical Institute.

 Research: associated with work on the Chair of Internal Medicine and of tuberculosis, which for 40 years has participated in the implementation of dissertation research and planning and contractual issues. In 1986 he defended his thesis for the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences on the topic: "Antyproteolitychna activity and serum protein spectrum of the relationship, and genealogy hemocoagulation status in patients with chronic pneumonia and lung cancer"

 Scientific interests in the context of research activities cover a broad spectrum of therapeutic disciplines, pulmonology, gastroenterology, especially in the context of hepatic and extrahepatic lesions in chronic viral hepatitis.

Higher education: She graduated in 1988 Ternopil State Medical Institute. Horbachevsky. Since 1988 worked as a therapist at Rivnenschyni.Navchalas in clinical studies and postgraduate courses at Chair of Internal Medicine. Since 1998 - assistant, and since 2006 - Associate Chair of Internal Medicine and of tuberculosis.        

Research: In 2000 defended his thesis for the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences on the topic: "Imunoaktyvni agents in treatment of chronic diffuse toxic goiter 14.01.02 - internal diseases.         

Research interests in the context of research activities related disciplines such as gastroenterology, cardiology, pulmonology, endocrinology, immunology.

Nadia Yarema 

Education: Graduated in 1979 Ternopil State Medical Institute. Horbachevsky with honors.             Since 1981 worked as -terapevt and later cardiologist intensive care unit and intensive care in the Ternopil City Clinical Hospital №2. She studied in clinical residency in cardiology at the department of hospital treatment. Since 1986 - the assistant from 1997 - Associate Professor of hospital treatment, from 2005 - Associate Chair of Internal Medicine and of tuberculosis.               Research: In 1989 defended his thesis for the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences on the topic: "The functional state of the myocardium and the immune system in patients with rheumatoid arthritis"         

Research interests in the context of research activities related disciplines such as rheumatology, cardiology, immunology.

 Natalia Vereshchagina

Education: Graduated in 1983 Ternopil State Medical Institute. Began his career physician practitioner in Rivne region. She studied in clinical residency and postgraduate specialty "internal medicine" at the Chair of Internal Diseases. Since 1999 Assistant Chair of Internal Medicine Ternopil State Medical University Horbachevsky, but since 2007 senior lecturer of the department.

 Research: In 2000 he defended his thesis on "Application persantynu Zbruchanskogo and mineral water deposits in the treatment of patients with diabetes."

Research interests in the context of research activities related therapeutic disciplines: endocrinology, rheumatology, internal medicine.

Publications: author of 65 scientific papers including guidelines.

Natalia Bilkevych

 Higher education: (in 1995 graduated from the Ternopil State Medical Institute, specialty "Medicine"). She studied at master and part-time postgraduate study at Chair of Internal Medicine at the same institution. Since 2004 - assistant, and since 2011 - Associate Chair of Internal Medicine and Phthisiology Ternopil State Medical University.

Research: In 2003 she defended her thesis on "Efficiency enterosorbent carbon and ozone therapy in treatment COMMUNITY-ACQUIRED PNEUMONIA with varying degrees of severity of endogenous intoxication."

Research interests in the context of research activities related therapeutic disciplines (pulmonology, internal medicine) and optimize the learning process, taking into account the individual characteristics of the student.

Publications: over 75 scientific papers, 1 textbook, 1 manual on propaedeutics internal medicine.

 
 Assistant-Irina Hanberher

Higher education: (in 2005 graduated from the Ternopil State Medical University, specialty "Medicine"). From 2008 to 2010 she studied in clinical internship at the Department of Internal Medicine propaedeutics and Phthisiology Ternopil State Medical University. Since December 2010 - Assistant Chair of Internal Medicine and Phthisiology Ternopil State Medical University.

Research: April 21, 2011 defended his thesis on "The clinical course, changes of systemic inflammation, bone and cartilage metabolism in osteoarthritis patients with underlying chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and chronic hepatitis and their drug correction" in the National Medical University O .AT. Bogomolets on specialty 14.01.12 - Rheumatology.

 Assistant- Kucher (Lototska) Svitlana
Education: In 2010 graduated with honors from SHEE "Ternopil State Medical University, Ministry of Health of Ukraine" specialty "medicine". From 2010 to 2012 she studied in the master's degree at the Department of propaedeutics of internal medicine and of tuberculosis. Since 2012 - Postgraduate Chair of Internal Medicine and Phthisiology SHEE "Ternopil State Medical University named after I. Gorbachevskogo Ministry of Health of Ukraine " 

Research: In 2012 she defended her master's thesis on "endotoxemia syndrome in primary gout, especially the pathogenesis and clinical course." In the same year planned thesis for the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences on the topic "The role of endotoxemia in clinical manifestations and pathogenesis of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in patients of all ages and effectiveness enterosorbtsiynoyi therapy."     

Her research interests include the study of the pathogenesis, diagnosis and therapeutic treatment of diseases.

Natalia Voytanovych

Education: in 2005 graduated the Ternopil National Economic University, majoring in computer systems and networks.

Professional experience: From 2002 to 2009 worked as engineer-programmer of Theory and History of State and Law Faculty TNEU. Since 2009 and till now assistant Chair of Internal Medicine and of tuberculosis.

Education: In 1982 graduated the Ternopil State Medical Institute.

From 1982 to 1984 clinical intern department of tuberculosis TDMI.

From 1984 to 1998 worked as the Ternopil Oblast ftyzio- pulmonology MSEK.

Research: In 1991 he defended his thesis on "Accompanying diseases of the digestive system and the enteric digestion of carbohydrates in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis."

Research interests: In 2007 he defended his doctoral thesis on "Clinical and pathogenetic study treatment and prevention of pulmonary bleeding and haemoptysis in tuberculosis patients."

Since 2003 head of the association of TB specialists and pulmonologists Ternopil region.

Since 2007, member of the European Respiratory Society. In 2010 was awarded a bronze medal "For Merits before the Polish Society of lung diseases."

Research interests: diagnosis, treatment and prevention of tuberculosis emergency conditions and comorbidities in tuberculosis and pulmonology.

Publications and ratings: Author of 187 scientific papers, co-author of 3 books and 6 textbooks (of which 1 - English), 3 newsletters, 2 patents.

Svetlana Kornaha

MD

Education: In 1985 graduated the Ternopil State Medical Institute with a degree "Medicine".

Research: From 1986 to 2000 worked as a practical physician. In 2000 she defended her thesis on "respiratory function in chemotherapy patients with infiltrative pulmonary tuberculosis." In 2012 defended his doctoral dissertation on "The State of hemodynamics and myocardial function in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis during antimycobacterial therapy: clinical significance and methods of correction." Since 2000 - assistant of tuberculosis TDMA. Since 2005 he Ternopil State Medical University assistant professor of tuberculosis. Since 2013 - Professor.

Research interests: Study of respiratory function and the cardiovascular system in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis, including patients with MDR tuberculosis and during chemotherapy.

Natalia Kravchenko

 MD, PhD

Education: in 1975 graduated the Ternopil Medical Institute.

Research activities:

Rr.- clinical intern 1980-1982, 1982 -1996 biennium. - Assistant Professor of tuberculosis TDMI. Since 1997 r.- assistant professor of tuberculosis.

In 1987 she defended her thesis on "Chemotherapy destructive tuberculosis in combination with non-specific therapeutic agents and a constant magnetic field."

 During 1995-2005 - the head teacher of the department (of course).

Research interests: diagnosis, differential diagnosis of pulmonary tuberculosis, nonspecific agents in the treatment of tuberculosis.

THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS

Training at the department is provided in three languages:Ukrainian, Russian,English. Propaedeutics of internal diseases with nursing of patients study at the department II i III courses of medical faculty and II course Dental Faculty. In addition, students III and IV courses Faculty of Dentistry study the subject "Internal Medicine". Students read lectures on the clinical examination i diagnostics of therapeutic diseases.


The department published methodical prescripts for students of care for patients with propaedeutics of internal diseases in 4 parts, to practice with curation patients  and writing academic history of the disease Ukrainian, Russian and English. Published manuals "Propaedeutics of internal diseases with therapeutic care of patients", created educational program for controlling CD "Propaedeutics of internal diseases with therapeutic care for patients." Published manuals - "Classification of diseases of internal organs", "Diagnostics and treatment of emergency conditions in the clinic internal diseases", "Diagnostics immune defections in clinic"; monograph "Autoimmune processes and their role in clinic internal diseases" "Dictionary of medical assistant", "Medical Education in the Slovak Republic."

The department staff are always working to improve teaching work, including the implementation of a new system of education in accordance with the project "Regulations on the organization of educational process in SHEI" Ternopil State Medical University named after I. Gorbachevskogo Ministry of Health of Ukraine. "


In object to improve the educational process the teacher of the department was replenished bank of movies and created virtual training programs, always led its content for futher using students in teaching practical work.

All lectures for students of medical, pharmaceutical and dental faculty is read using multimedia presentations.

 For the best mastery practical skills for students used line practical skills - MATRIKULA that contribute to the improvement of examination skills of the terapeutic patient, that is provided requirements of educational qualification characteristics graduate.

The activity of teachers is direct to develop not only teaching materials on paper, but especially concerning the establishment and improvement of the presentation of lectures, materials to prepare students for lectures and practice lessons, teaching materials for practice lessons, electronic version of the table presented at the Web portal University.

Course of Phthisiology

Teaching tuberculosis is  carried on  IV i VI courses of medical faculty internam-phthisiology, pediatrician, family doctor, doctor-pediatrician, listener FLO. Constantly improved and republished methodical instructions. Published 4 manuals  ( "Differential  diagnostics tuberculosis of lungs," "Manuals for tuberculosis," "Differential diagnostics of lung diseases and pleura", training manuals Ukrainian and English speeches " Phthisiology"), 2 manuals "Tuberculosis" i "Phthisiology" written chapter "Tuberculosis" in the "Directory of medical assistans." Created CD "Tuberculosis".

SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH

The traditional direction of scientific research workers of the department Proupedeutics of Internal Medicine and Phthisiology  - the study of problems associated pathology of the digestive system and other affection organs. Today the department is working on the implementation of a comprehensive fragment of research themes «comorbid conditions in clinic internal medicine, predictors development, early diagnosis, prevention and treatment"

    Experience committed of the department staff proupedeutics of Internal Medicine touching problems gastroenterology, rheumatology, cardiology, endocrinology, pulmonology. Today primary attention focuses on the problems of diagnostics and treatment of respiratory diseases, hepato-biliary system  to due a significant increase morbidity on this pathologists in the world, also rheumatic diseases and the cardiovascular system.

At the same time studied the problem of interraption of bone mineral density and level endotoxemia in diseases pancreato-duodenal zone, the impact on the structure and function of the liver Anti-helicobacter therapy in chronic gastritis B and peptic ulcer disease, clinical and pathogenetic features and therapy of gout and osteoarthritis in the background accompanying chronic hepatitis, obstructive lung diseases. At the department has worked Lototskaya Svetlana and Zenoviy Skirak. Under the guidance of prof. S. M. Andreychyn performed dissertations "Violation binding function of serum albumin in toxic hepatitis", "The role of endotoxemia in clinical manifestations and pathogenesis of COPD in patients of all ages and efficiency enterosorption therapy and"effect of Anti-helicobacter therapy for peptic ulcer and chronic gastritis B on the structure and function of the liver.

In the section "Phthysiology" has 3 dissertanty. Under the guidance of prof. Grischuk L.A performed candidate dissertation: "Morpho-functional changes myocardium caused by endogenous  and tuberculosis intoxication, influence of anti-tuberculosis drugs, correction of identified violations." (L.P. Melnuk), "The nature of metabolic and structural and functional disorders systems of surfactant in experimental acute injury lung " (Beskyy V.O.) and "Optimizing therapy patients at first diagnosed tuberculosis based on the functional state of the liver" (Okusok O.M.)

    The result of the research work is published more than 100 scientific scientific works. Materials of scientific research reported at conferences, therapeutic companies. Already become traditional conference organized treatment staff the department Proupedeutics of Internal Medicine and Phthisiology: "Modern aspects of diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of internal diseases" and "Immunopathology in respiratory diseases and digestive system."

The results of research are introduced to the work of therapeutic departments in Ternopil and region. Design 14 implementing acts , 2 newsletters, 6 patents on  invention. Reserved 4 candidate dissertation.

 At the department has been successful worked scientific circle. Works participants circle adequately represented at student conferences.

In the future, plans to continue the traditional for department direction of scientific research studies on the comorbidity pathology of hepato-pancreato-duodenal zone, musculoskeletal, respiratory, endocrine diseases. The results will be published in scientific journals, congresses, conferences, and also introduced the practice of health care. In the scientific work of department will be involved gifted students through the implementation of their opportunities in student academic circle, and will be continued training of the teaching staff (doctors and candidates of medical sciences).

Course of Phthisiology

In the last years, the department conducted scientific research that is dedicated on the problems of pulmonary bleeding and haemoptysis in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis (I.T. P'yatnochka, L.A. Grischuk,S.I. Kornaha) problems osteoporosis study, the cardiovascular system in these patients.

    Scientific achievements of the department staff presented at many conferences, symposiums and congresses, including abroad (L.A. Grischuk, Poland, 2003-2014 years)

   The department staff was reserved 4 candidations and 4 doctoral dissertations, published over 526 scientific papers, published 7 manuals, four books, received 12 copyright certification, published16 metodical recommendations for doctors, 14 newsletters and implemented in practice more than 40 innovations.

INSTITUTE OF CURATORS

In student groups involved in education on our faculty, teachers in the context of lectures and practical sessions covering ethical issues in medicine, the major scientific achievements of scientists of the University of Science and Ukrainian contribution to the world of medicine.
